In this project, the objective was to create an stationary design package that would include, letterhead, envelope and a business card that reflects the quality of my work and personality but also, be able to maintain its professionalism looks so I would be able to use it when I graduate my current program or any possible future opportunities.

PROJECT INFO

CONCEPT THUMBNAILS

Beginning with the concept of the design, I personally like to have my designs aesthetically pleasing and some what standing out from the standard designs you would see in the marketing world. So for the design concepts, I sketched some ideas that ranges from pure simplicity to far complex approaches, and as for the outcome I decided to lean towards complex designs for letterhead and business card for the appealing purposes and more straightforward for the envelope.

ROUGHS THUMBNAILS

After deciding one concept each from the 3 designs and to go more in depth, I started to draft out the layout for the logo, text field, and other elements that are required for the design.

MOOD BOARD

Besides the default white and black colors, I chose both a dark and lighter red color tone just for personal preference and for a secondary color I chose blue because it mixes well with red and black. For the heading and sub heading font, I chose it soley because it looks promising, bold and clear which can be helpful in cases of users wanting to skim-read and might increase the chances to catch their attention with the bold headings.

FINAL DESIGN

LETTERHEAD

For the final design for the letterhead, I decided for somewhat complex approach by having the logo on very top and right above / between the top border design. I also designed it in a way so I could have the text field with a lot of space which serves the purpose of having the center of the attention. To finish off, the bottom border has a bit of complex approach by having the two triangles filled with red to black gradient to match my theme colors along with my contact information that is supported by the icons at the bottom.

ENVELOPE

I decided to go for as simple as I can for the final design for my envelope by having my logo and name on the top left with my contact and address right below. Futhermore, I added a transparent window on the bottom right along with border on the bottom with colors that appropriately match my theme.

BUSINESS CARD

Finally for the business card, I went for my initial idea in the concept thumbnails by having more of a complex approach that is aesthetically pleasing. The front side having a simple desing with the logo and name of my business on the bottom with the right half covered in red with a thin black stroke. For the back side, in a similar way, I have my logo, business name and QR code for my website on the left half along with all of my contact information and social media information on the right. I also provided a small glimpse of a description on the bottom of my name to give a sense of my identity to provide an idea to the client of what kind of business I am affiliated with.
